Conclusions: PEM and PET might provide complementary information. When PEM results are consistent with PET findings this reinforces the reliability of both modalities in lesion detection and management. Furthermore, when PEM upgrades or detects new lesions not seen by PET, this highlights the importance of using multiple diagnostic tools to get a comprehensive view of the disease.
